Naming “Indian Summer” & “Cocaine Cowboys”

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Visit the Kickstarter here where you can see the new print series, “Indian Summer”.

The names and colors are just a small homage to large influences in my art.

Indian Summer” is a name I chose because for my new print series because I’ve been heavily influenced by one poster in particular in my career- the poster for the 1960s movie, Endless Summer. The color schemes are more or less identical and I love silhouettes.

Cocaine Cowboys” series is the same art but put to a color palette of a different era- the ’80s. I stared at a number of TV shows as a child and Miami Vice is one of my all time favorites and is based on the real cocaine cowboys (cocaine runners) of the early ’80s.

Announcing Supercharger Press

I’m excited to announce that I will be establishing a new art studio / print studio / print shop: SUPERCHARGER PRESS!
In the coming weeks I’ll be launching a Kickstarter to help gather the funds I need to get this project off the ground.
As part of the project, I’ve been working on a new set of prints titled “Indian Summer” that will be available as rewards through the Kickstarter…. Here is a first peek of one of the prints in the series. I’m going to need your help to make this show possible and to complete the build out of my art studio. The fully funded Kickstarter will culminate in a one-night-only art opening and celebratory party hosted at The Woods on Capitol Hill on Thursday, December 12th. I hope to see you there and thanks in advance for your support!
